Woodland hammocks at Mayan’s Thistleton setting

Thistleton · Dress for outdoor conditions

Something unusual outdoors

Lie in a hammock beneath the trees and listen to a live sound journey. The woodland setting makes this a different experience from a walk or a conventional class.

A quieter indoor experience

A floating sound bath gives you time to rest on a supported airbed while listening to bowls around the water. Prefer to stay on land? Compare the indoor evenings at The Den.

Mayan sauna and sea dip experience on the coast

Cleveleys · Sea and weather conditions matter

A coastal change of scene

Look at sauna and sea dip sessions at Rossall Beach, Cleveleys. Plan around the event’s guidance and the weather rather than treating a sea dip as an unplanned extra.

Woodland, water or indoors?

Hammocks and coastal sessions bring you outdoors, where warm layers and weather planning matter. Floating sound baths and The Den offer indoor formats. Book the setting you prefer and follow the team’s updates about outdoor conditions.

An evening to come together, and yet escape the hustle bustle of every day life. Perfect evening as the sun was setting, we lay on the sands letting our thoughts escape the pressures, and relax in our own serenity. Before the sound bath there was music played, and after the sound bath lots of people just stayed around. Lovely evening, thank you.

A few helpful answers

Before you book

The practical details, so you can arrive feeling prepared.

What are some relaxing things to do near Blackpool?
Mayan’s options include a woodland hammock sound bath in Thistleton, a floating sound bath, coastal sauna sessions in Cleveleys and indoor retreat evenings in Fleetwood. Availability depends on the published event dates.
Can we book something different to do as a couple?
You can choose a suitable mixed-group local session together, or book the monthly couples day retreat programme in the Lake District. Check the audience, price per person and availability on the chosen event.
Are there indoor options for a rainy day?
Floating sound baths and The Den’s retreat evenings are indoor formats. They run on scheduled dates, not as daily drop-in attractions, so check availability before making plans.
Can I just turn up?
Use the event page to check booking requirements and reserve places for paid sessions. Do not assume drop-in access or a free community event unless the listing explicitly confirms it.
Is this a guide to every attraction in Blackpool?
No. This is Mayan’s guide to its own slower, wellbeing-led experiences around Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, with clearly labelled Lake District retreat options further afield.
